Relena takes a role similar to her father by maintaining diplomatic relations between the earth and space colonies, but she is taken hostage by Mariemaia's forces. She still advocates peace as strongly as ever, but she is also aware of the necessity of those who must fight to maintain peace. It is her words that spur the people to stand up for peace.
