Trowa, the Gundam pilot, took his name from the son of Dekim Barton, Trowa Barton. This Trowa was originally supposed to pilot the Gundam Heavyarms in Operation Meteor. Doctor S and his associate did not approve of Operation Meteor as intended and placed a nameless soldier, Trowa, in the place of Dekim's son bearing his name.
